Take The First Step

What makes your first step a hard one my dear?
Know that your God the greatest of all will be there,
To assist and guide before your life's journey
Take the first step and I will take the rest of it.

If your love for me is less comparable to wealth
I can wait, but be in a hurry 'cause now is the time,
To worship me with all your might, mind, and strength.
I have a trust on you that you can do your best.

Take the first step to honestly forgive your enemies
I will forgive those whom I will forgive, but of you
You ought to forgive all men though it cut your heart
Only in that step you acquire solace to your soul.

Don't be weary in doing good things for they
Lay great foundation and add oil to your lamp,
For where your treasure is, there your soul also
Take the first step to love one another as yourself.
