If We Were A Tree
Shall We allow loggers to rudely cut out trunks,
Will we amuse them with beauty til we rot?
If We Were A Fish
Shall we ignore the arrogants to kill us,
Will we live long and enjoy the corals for shelter?
If We Were A Bird
Shall we be comfortable with iron cages,
Will we continue chirping and give melodies?
If We Were A Water
Shall we evaporate and be seen no more,
Will we spring out and give life to mankind?
If We Were An Earth
Shall we lose our hope and choose to decay,
Will we move on and live to the extent?
If We Were Them
Shall we feel the same as theirs'
Will we make no thought at all?

I really like this because I think we, as Poets, can become the voices of those that can't speak out: our wildlife, nature, disappearing at such an alarming rate that it scares me. I am frightened if ever to walk out my door and there is not a tree in sight; or birds stop singing or the waters are dry with drought. Its coming if we keep at the rate of destruction we are going. It frightens me. We, as Poets, have a voice, a voice they don't.We NEED TO SCREAM LOUDER for it to stop!

It is kind of okay. It sets up some emphasis on the viewpoint of nature. the prose is great, and it gives a clear picture of what you are telling, but it isn't catchy enough to make the readers relate to such. for me, the best thing here is to rearrange the construction and selection of words, and this does make an ideal poem item. anyways, keep writing and best of luck!!!

This poem says so much to the reader. If everyone would put themselves in the place of our environment, animals, and all of the other beautiful things in the world, maybe they would think twice before polluting and destroying it. More thought should be given to these things, which you relay perfectly in the poem.
